The PICO mattress is the most common mattress from the bonnell group. It is relatively firm, yet flexible, thanks to proven manufacturing technology. It is also a highly durable and long-lasting base, with its core made of high-quality progressive springs. On both sides, you will find a layer of soft and flexible polyurethane foam, making it a very comfortable sleeping mattress. The most important advantage of the PICO double-sided mattress is the optimal support it provides for the whole body. Proper stabilisation helps to relieve the joints and muscles during rest. A firm PICO mattress encourages a straightened sleeping position, which is beneficial for the functioning of internal organs that may be compressed when sleeping on the stomach or side. It is worth emphasising that this is a double-sided mattress, with both sides serving as usable sleeping surfaces.
There are several factors that can influence the choice of a PICO mattress. One of them is the user's weight. Firm mattresses are recommended primarily for people with a higher body mass, who require more solid support. Mattresses that are too soft may not provide optimal comfort in this case. A greater mattress firmness is widely considered better for spinal health. Such a bed mattress may be recommended by a doctor or physiotherapist as an antidote for various orthopaedic conditions.
The recipe for success behind the PICO mattress lies in the combination of high-quality materials merged into one product. Coconut fibre offers thermal properties and, thanks to its natural structure, effectively absorbs sweat and moisture. The coconut layer also provides greater firmness. Meanwhile, polyurethane foam reinforces the construction, ensuring durability and resistance to sagging, while also being a breathable material. The most important element, however, is the system of Bonnell springs, classified as progressive springs. A light load generates gentle resistance, while greater pressure increases the level of support accordingly.
The materials used in the production of mattresses, such as polyurethane foams, latexes, and visco foam, are characterised by a high coefficient of compressibility and elasticity. Therefore, we reserve the right to a tolerance in dimensions: +/- 2% for width and length, and +/- 1 cm for mattress height. The actual colours of the materials may also differ from those in the photos, without affecting their properties.
