Types of Certificates and What They Prove:

The following certificates confirm that our beds have undergone a series of specialized tests and inspections verifying their strength, stability, and user safety. They ensure our products meet applicable regulations and offer the highest level of protection. Our products are certified by a reputable institution: the Institute of Supervision.

Clean and Safe Paints

EN 71-3

Ensures that paints and other surface finishes used on the bed do not contain harmful chemicals that could migrate or pose health risks, especially to children.

FSC Certificate (Forest Stewardship Council)

Confirms that the wood used in our beds comes from sustainably and responsibly managed forests, respecting the environment and local communities. By choosing LANO, you support eco-friendly forestry.

Standard for Bunk and Loft Beds

PN-EN 747-1+A1:2015-08

Relates to the safety and strength of bunk and raised beds (above 60 cm from the floor), with particular focus on beds longer than 140 cm and up to 120 cm wide.

Safe construction: All edges and corners are rounded, with no burrs or sharp parts.
Component strength: The bed is tested for vertical and horizontal loads to ensure parts like rails and the base will not break or deform. For example, safety rails are tested with a 1000 N (approx. 100 kg) downward force.
Safe openings and gaps: Moving parts (e.g., folding frames) are designed for safety – gaps between them are either under 7 mm or between 12–25 mm to prevent pinching.
Ladder stability: The ladder undergoes rigorous load testing, including a static load of 1200 N (approx. 120 kg) on each rung.
User warnings: Indicates that bunk beds and upper bunks are not suitable for children under 6 years old. The manual also includes additional important safety instructions.
Mattress information: Recommended maximum mattress height is 12 cm.

Standard for Low (Floor-Level) Beds

PN-EN 1725:2024-04

This standard covers safety, strength, and durability requirements for all types of beds.

No sharp edges or burrs: All parts the user may touch during normal use are free from burrs, sharp edges, or open ends.
Safe moving mechanisms: If the bed has moving parts (e.g., folding frames), the gaps between them are safe – under 7 mm or between 12–25 mm to avoid pinching.
Stability: The bed is tested against tipping to ensure the structure’s stability.
Strength and durability: The bed undergoes static load tests, e.g., applying 1400 N (approx. 140 kg) force for 30 seconds to critical points.

Furniture for Domestic Use (applies to SOFINO model)

PN-EN 12520:2015

This certificate confirms that the SOFINO model meets additional, detailed requirements and is perfectly suited for everyday use in home environments.

Furniture for Commercial and General Use (applies to SOFINO model)

PN-EN 16139:2013

This is an extension of the PN-EN 12520:2015 standard and is key for the SOFINO model if it’s to be used in high-traffic environments such as hotels. The difference lies in the significantly higher number of test cycles (e.g., backrest tilted 100,000 times), demonstrating the enhanced durability and reliability of the bed in intensive-use conditions, guaranteeing performance even in demanding commercial settings.
